Founded in Spring 2018, Solar Shepherd is dedicated to providing green solutions for managing vegetation. We believe in green energy, and we partner with companies to maintain vegetation under and around ground mounted photo-voltaic arrays. We raise sheep on solar farms and keep vegetation from interfering with energy generation. Sheep are a greener alternative solution than mowing, string trimming, or herbicides. Sheep reduce downtime risk by eliminating the need to run mechanical mowing equipment down panel rows or under tables.
We’re committed to the belief that organic agriculture benefits communities small and large by bringing pastoral beauty to the land, and connecting people more closely with their environment.
